2 chronicles 17:3, "And the LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father David, and sought not unto Baalim;"
The Bible says that Jehoshaphat walked in the ways of God as David walked. The question is what did he really do which states that his ways were according to God or because of it God was pleased. The above verse says he did not go after another gods. The Ten Commandments also command us the same thing, " You shall have no other gods before Me." It means God would not appreciate when you say, "all religion is the same or all ways leads to heaven." The next verse again clarifies it saying, not only he rejected other gods but he sought the Lord God of Israel and followed His commandments. 2 chronicles 17:4, " But sought to the Lord God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel."
The next verse says because he honored God, God blessed him with riches and honor and established his kingdom. It means God gave him success in everything he was doing. 2 chronicles 17:5, " Therefore the LORD stablished the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat presents; and he had riches and honour in abundance."
That would be the reward of every Christian who truly love God and follow His ways. When you walk in the ways of God, not only He blesses spiritually but adds all the material blessings too.
